Restriction Analysis
Next
Objective: Restriction analysis of DNA sequence, virtual enzyme digestion and gel electrophoresis, and vector map drawing.
Restriction enzyme digestion and agarose gel electrophoresis are
routine experiments in a molecular biology laboratory. Easy-to-use
and informative software can assist researchers to design a successful
experiment. The Restriction Analysis function is one of the innovative
designs in GeneLooper™ 2.0. It has an all-in-one interface through
which users see all enzyme sites grouped by the number of cuts in
a DNA sequence and can test any enzyme digestion with a single click.
It also provides the open reading frame information of a sequence,
which is an important factor in deciding which enzymes can be used.
All drawings from the restriction analysis and vector map creation
are proportional, and the dimensions are designed conveniently for
presentation.
